The Time ATAC XC 6 Pedals are the rented mule of their off-road family of pedals. They’ve got the platform shape and spring of their pricier brothers, but they’re designed to be ground in gravel and muck.

They offer nylon composite bodies, hollow steel axles, steel bearings, and adjustable release tension. The last is thanks to the fact that you can adjust the springs into one of three different settings, which adjusts the tension you need to overcome to get into the pedals and helps you feel secure once in. Stack height is 10.5mm

The cleats included are Time’s 13/17-degree release cleats. These cleats are designed to go in nose first and can be swapped from left to right, so that one way, they offer 13-degree release, the other 17-degrees. It depends on how much float you want and how fast you want to get out of your pedals. The cleats weigh 45g per pair.
